January Update: Winter Cover Crop

It may be winter but the Rows for the Hungry is keeping busy. There’s a cover crop growing to provide more nutrients in the soil for our summer crops. As seen above, there’s Austrian Peas, Tillage Radish, Daikon Radish, and Barley growing.

Currently, the Rows for the Hungry covers 0.75 acres but we plan to expand this summer to 1-1.25 acres. We are busy planning the rows and selecting seeds to cover such a large donation garden.
